How works WIM2014?
WIM2014 is an international music meeting happening from the 25th of July until the 3rd of August. Everyday a free breakfast will be served for all the WIM Community (Only inscribed people).
The training courses will take place during the mornings (4h/day).
The workshops will take place during the evenings in many places around FrÃas, like the Castle and green areas. We will provide an area to eat and relax where all the artists and participants will be able to enjoy their free time.
During night-time there will be jams, concerts and performances, focused in different topics with the intention to bring close other art disciplines like cinema, painting, theatre or circus.
Do I need to bring with me my instrument?
If you come to the courses you have to bring your except drummers and pianist. However for many workshops (Batucada or Oriental Percussion as an example) and the initiation courses, could be not necessary but it will be clearly specified in every case.
In the drummers case, is recommended to bring with you the snare and the hit-hat.
¿Will i find there a place to keep my instrument?
We will provide a place where you can deposite your instrument.
How can I get to the meeting?
In the ‘Directions’ website section you can find all the info, besides that, we are creating a ‘Sharing-ride Network’ among all the participants in order you can share your vehicles, having less expenses and helping the environment. That’s why we ask you for this information in the application form.

Do I have to pay a mandatory booking fee?
The booking fee is part of the full inscription fee and saves you a place for the course you have chosen due to some of them get fully booked really fast. Also help us, as organization, to know approximately how many participants there will be in the courses. If you want you can made the full payment at once.
In the case you can not come to the meeting the booking fee won’t returned.
